Lee-Ann Foord (NSW)

Lee-Ann has been presenting ASIST since 2007 and safeTALK since 2009. She is now a LivingWorks Consulting Trainer, committed to training North Coast communities to become suicide safer and to mentoring and supporting other trainers.

Lee-Ann’s interest in suicide prevention came after losing her youngest brother to suicide. Since then she has been running support groups for those bereaved by suicide with Lifeline Mid Coast NSW and is soon to start a group for those who’ve attempted suicide.
Lee-Ann is Chair of the Port Macquarie Hastings Suicide Prevention Network and the 2015 recipient of Suicide Prevention Australia’s, National LiFE Award, for Community Development in Suicide Prevention by an Individual and was a Port Macquarie Hastings Council Citizen of the Year nominee.

Lee-Ann’s other interests range from supporting new mothers in their breastfeeding journeys to her study of Hapkido in which she holds a first degree black belt.
